Glamor

I'm sitting, shivering, in an ice bath (yes, with my iPhone) to treat the ache in my legs after running a hilly, wet, windy, cold marathon today. Which felt like torture from mile 11 on. Hmm, a 2nd marathon 2 weeks later. Tough. So tough, in fact, that my friends were a little concerned by my appearance at the end. I guess blue lips & uncontrollable shivering are frightful to see? Anyway, I'm looking at my frozen-numb heavily-blistered feet, reflecting on the day, thinking what a glamorous hobby I've chosen. No, really, distance running is so great! Everyone should be a Maniac!

Oh, yeah, today's race qualified me to move up to the next level of Marathon Maniac! Again with the glamor of it all...
