Sun & Solace in Sedona

I was lucky enough to give a talk at a conference in Sedona, AZ. It was my first time there, and it was amazing! I had free afternoons to climb some big rock formations and run some trails, all while basking in glorious hot sunshine!

It was so different from Pacific Northwest trail running and weather conditions. That, and the mystery of the vortexes I planned my trail running around, lent an other-worldly feel to the runs. I was truly alone and free and transported to another level of carefree consciousness for a few hours.

I love little escapes and truly feel recharged after time alone, time in nature, time spent exerting myself, and time in the sun. It is almost transcendent when all those times coincide on an afternoon!
